Locally called "Parade Day," the Scranton Saint Patrick's Parade is the largest annual celebration in Lackawanna County. This nationally acclaimed event stands as one of the nation's largest St. Patrick’s parades, drawing a crowd of 150,000 spectators for the day-long celebration held the weekend before the Feast of St. Patrick (St. Patrick’s Day). With over 12,000 participants, including Irish groups and societies, bagpipers, high school and string bands, elaborate floats, Irish dancers, and more, the parade celebrates the spirit of Irish culture and tradition.

The Scranton St. Patrick's Parade steps off in 2025 on Saturday, March 8th! Since 1962 the St. Patrick's Parade Day Association of Lackawanna County, PA, has conducted this nationally acclaimed parade the weekend before the Feast of St. Patrick.

A Parade Day Mass at St. Peter’s Cathedral begins at 10:00 AM. The Brian P. Kelly Memorial 2-mile footrace starts at 11:00 AM. The parade steps off at 11:45 AM.
