Congressman Rick Crawford, a leader on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, visited Calex ISCS, Inc. on Friday, to discuss key issues impacting transportation and logistics. Topics ranged from highway improvements and regulatory challenges to broader discussions about the future of transportation. Crawford has long been dedicated to creating safer and more reliable infrastructure across highways, waterways, railways, and airports. Currently, he serves as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Highways and Transit, following two terms as Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials.
The Transportation and Infrastructure Committee oversees all modes of transportation, including aviation, maritime, highways, mass transit, and railroads. Its scope also covers critical aspects of national infrastructure, such as clean water and wastewater management, pipeline transport, flood reduction, federally owned real estate, economic development in rural and urban areas, disaster preparedness and response, and the safe transport of hazardous materials.
