Luzerne County Community College President John Yudichak said LCCC’s centers are more than just access points — they are engines of opportunity in our communities.
LCCC announced its “Celebrating Our Centers” campaign throughout December — spotlighting the vital role its seven centers play in connecting students to education, completion, and local employment.
The initiative aligns with LCCC’s new “Go Here. Graduate Here. Work Here.” model, which focuses on building place-based workforce pipelines and providing education that stays local and works locally.
“With our new model, students can start their education here, earn their degrees here, and step directly into local careers,” Yudichak said. “It’s education designed for the community, by the community.”
The campaign highlights each of LCCC’s Centers, including:
• Wilkes-Barre Center: Experiencing record enrollment, demonstrating strong demand for local, affordable education.
• Hazleton Center: Celebrating 25 years of serving students and community partners.
• Scranton Center: Marking its 10th anniversary with a decade of student success.
• Pittston Center: Providing student engagement and stability for learners across the region.
• Berwick Center: 22 years of ongoing community partnerships and workforce development.
• Shamokin/Northumberland & GS/Watsontown Centers: Offering new programs tailored to regional workforce needs.
“Our Centers allow students to pursue meaningful, career-focused training without leaving their communities,” Yudichak added. “We’re proud to support affordable, high-quality education while contributing to the local economy.”
Yudichak said LCCC’s “Go Here. Graduate Here. Work Here.” approach ensures that each Center serves as a hub where education, completion, and employment converge, giving students a direct path from learning to local career opportunities.
