Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance Event Deemed Success

Scranton, Lackawanna County, PA -- The Northeastern Pennsylvania (NEPA) Alliance’s 22nd Annual “Bringing the World to Northeastern Pennsylvania” was a great success. On Tuesday, Sept. 10, businesses from Northeastern Pennsylvania met with fifteen of Pennsylvania’s Authorized Trade Representatives from around the world at the Hilton Scranton and Conference Center.

Representatives from more than 30 regional businesses, colleges, and universities attended and met with Pennsylvania’s Trade Representatives from the Arab Gulf region, Australia, Canada, Central and Eastern Europe, China, Germany, India, the Middle East region, Mexico, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom. The purpose of this annual event is to connect local businesses with the Pennsylvania’s Export Network and the international business services available through the NEPA Alliance and the Commonwealth. The Trade Representatives are private in-market business consultants contracted by the state to help Pennsylvania businesses export, free of charge.

During “Bringing the World” participants gained market insight and discussed company-specific issues with the Trade Representatives. They also learned how they can use these free export services to grow their international sales.
